Newborn Photographer Newcastle – Baby Lily
Name: Lily Luka Cant
Born: 4 January 2018 at 11.36pm
OUR FIRST MEETING
I first met Amy and Nathan at their maternity shoot. Lily was still happily cooking away and Amy was thoroughly enjoying every minute of her pregnancy. When Lily arrived, I had the privilege of capturing her in our studio on her 8th day of life.
Lily was a pretty picture of serenity during our newborn photography session. Mum Amy said that so far, Lily has been an ‘extremely chilled and very relaxed’ baby and during our session, she was no different, calmly snoozing as I captured lots of gorgeous shots.
Little Lily also gave me a number of divine sleep-smiles. While Sarah wasn’t sure if it was a real smile or a ‘poop-smile’, the outcome remained the same – a beautiful image of a precious little girl, safe and happy in the arms of her loving mum and dad.
NEWBORN PHOTOGRAPHY – WHY DO IT?
For Amy and Nathan, the decision to book a newborn photography session was pretty easy as I’d done their maternity shoot and they said they ‘absolutely loved the photos’ and Hello Charlie Photography’s ‘beautiful style’.
They also felt it was important to capture how tiny and precious Lily was so they can look back and remember.
Amy said: “Right now, she’s growing so quickly. It’s just so amazing watching her change and develop every day.”
As for the newborn photography session itself, both Amy and Nathan were surprised at how fast it went but couldn’t be happier with the result.
“The best thing about our session was seeing Loren with Lily. She has magic hands being able to calm and put her to sleep. And of course, getting the chance to see Lily in all the cute outfits and positions!”
Note: most of the babies I photograph are between 7 – 14 days of age. It’s the best time for capturing those newborn moments and poses at their best. It is also when they are at their most flexible and sleepy. It is best to book in while you are still expecting and pre-booking ensures your newborn photography session.
